How Much Does Junk Removal Cost?

Question: How much does junk removal cost?

How much does junk removal cost? We base our pricing on volume, or the amount of room that the items take up in our truck. We have a mini dump truck that can hold 16 cubic yards of debris and unwanted items, or what we call 5 pickup truck loads. Our minimum service charge is $130, for what we call a refrigerator sized load. If you were to fill our mini dump truck to full capacity, or 5 pickup truck loads, then our price is $560. We have 10 different price points in between. Take a look at our Household Items Calculator by scrolling over the fractions and different price points to figure out your load size. Below is a picture of our truck to give you some perspective on size.

About Our Pricing and Service

What we try to do, via email or over the phone, is give the customer a low end and high end price range of what the cost might be based on the customer’s description. If the customer is comfortable with that range, then we will schedule a free in person estimate where a two man team will come out to assess the scope of work. They will give an exact price within that range. At that time, the customer can have the crew get to work or, if they don’t like the price, they can send the crew on their way!

What separates us from the typical removal and hauling operation is what we do with the items being removed. We are able to Recycle, Reuse or Donate over 60% of the items that we haul away keeping a majority of our loads out of the landfill. If we are able to donate the unwanted items on the customer’s behalf, then we send the tax deductible receipt back to the customer.

Heavy Loads

For heavy loads such as shingles, concrete, dirt, sod, brick etc., we have four price points and charge in quarter increments for heavy loads with the minimum load being $310 and a maximum load of $1010. These jobs are often labor intensive and come with expensive disposal costs. To view our online estimator, visit our Pricing page and select the Heavy Materials tab.

Brush Removal

For brush and yard waste, we also have four different price points with the minimum starting at $140 and the maximum of $490 (for a full load). We have an eco-friendly solution for yard waste and brush which involves recycling all organic waste into much and other useful purposes. As such, our disposal fees are less than household items and heavy debris.

Flat Fee Items

Other specific items, such as hot tubs, pool tables, piano’s, etc., come with a specific flat fee charge due to the complexity of the removal, disposal fees and intense labor associated with the removal. Visit our surcharge list for more information: www.firedawgsjunkremoval.com/surcharge-list
